The 2025 2nd International Conference on Urban Planning and Design (UPD 2025) will be held on April 25-27, 2025 in Nanjing, China.

Prof. Akmal Abdelfatah

the American University of Sharjah, UAE

Akmal Abdelfatah worked as a teaching/graduate research assistant at Cairo University, American University in Cairo, and UT-Austin. He has taught several graduate and undergraduate courses in civil engineering, engineering systems management and urban planning. His areas of research and teaching interest areas are Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic operations, transportation planning and operations research. In addition to his academic experience, he has worked as a part-time transportation planning and traffic expert for companies in the UAE.

Prof. Rita Yi Man Li

Hong Kong Shue Yan University, HK China

Prof. Rita Yi Man Li now serve as a Professor in Dept of Economics and Finance, Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU). She is the founder and director of Sustainable Real Estate Research Center and Real Estate and Economics Research Lab. She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in China-Australia Centre for Sustainable Urban Development, Tianjin University in China. Her major field of research interests lie in construction safety, sustainable development, real estate economics and finance. Over the years, she won many local and international awards and grants. She also hold a few visiting positions in overseas university, such as University of South Australia, RMIT and Feng Chia University. Her papers are published in Journal of Cleaner Production, Sustainability, Journal of Environmental Health etc. She is also the editor in chief of the International Journal of Sustainable Real Estate and Construction Economics.

Publication and Submission

1.Conference Proceedings

All papers will be reviewed by two or three expert reviewers from the conference committees. After a careful reviewing process, all accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and will be submitted to EI Compendex, Scopus, Inspec and CNKI for indexing.

Online Submission

Note: 

◆ the employed papers shall be registered on time, and the overdue registration will not be published.

◆ the paper shall be typeset according to the paper template, which shall not be less than 5 pages.

◆ the employed and registered papers can be published only after they are read out at the meeting site; Papers registered but not attended the meeting and read out will not be published and the registration fee will not be returned.

◆ the paper should have academic or practical value and has not been published in academic journals or conferences at home and abroad. The author can check the duplicate at his own expense through crosscheck, Turnitin or other query systems, otherwise the author will bear the responsibility for the rejection caused by the repetition rate of the article. The papers suspected of plagiarism will not be published and will be published on the conference home page.

2. SCI journals 

Collect additional excellent papers, review them according to the requirements of SCI journals, and directly recommend them to include but not limited to the following SCI journals

Registration

If your paper is accepted by committee and you registered for the conference, a 30% processing fee will be deducted if a retraction is requested.

Join as Presenter: If you are interested in giving presentation on conference, without publishing your paper in the proceeding, you can choose to attend UPD 2025 as a Presenter. As presenter, you need to submit the abstract and title of your presentation before register. 

Join as Listener: UPD 2025 is an unmissable conference. It is a good chance and an effective plateform to meet many renowned experts and researchers in the filed of latest academic research.
