About EMIE 2023
2023 3rd International Conference on Electronic Materials and Information Engineering(EMIE 2023)
will be held on May 19-21, 2023 in Guangzhou, China. EMIE 2023 provides an enabling platform for Electronic Materials and Information Engineering experts to exchange new ideas and present research results. This conference also promotes the establishing of business or research relations among global partners for future collaboration. We hope that this conference could make significant contribution to the update of knowledge about these latest scientific field. Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman
Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) of The National University of Malaysia
Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman is a Professor at the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) of The National University of Malaysia (@ Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia), where he is leading the Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Solar Cells Unit at Solar Photovoltaics group. After receiving his BSc (Bachelor of Science) in 1996 and MSc (Master of Science) in 1998 in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, he has been awarded the Japanese Government’s Monbukagakusho Scholarship and joined the Institute for Molecular Science (IMS) in Okazaki, Japan, where he obtained his PhD in March 2003 and studied on the design and synthesis of new organic heterocyclic compounds for EL device application. Thereafter, he worked in Japan for 12 years (Tokyo Institute of Technology, Fujifilm Fine Chemicals Co. Ltd., and Tohoku University), King Saud University in Saudi Arabia, and the University of Malaya (UM) in Malaysia. He has also been awarded one of the most prestigious fellowships by JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) in 2007-2009 at the Dept. of Electronics and Applied Physics of the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. His areas of expertise are the rational design of organic/inorganic semiconductors, Nano-materials for various applications, including Dye-sensitized Solar cells (DSSCs), Perovskite thin film solar cell, Quatum dots-based Hybrid solar cells , Bulk-heterojunction Solar cells (BHJs), Light-Emitting Organic Field-effect Transistors (LE-OFETs), Organic Thin Film Transistors (OTFTs), Flexible Memory Devices, Nano-electronics and Electroluminescence devices, and has published over 170 papers, reviews in peer-reviewed journals, patents, and book and book chapters. He has also been serving as the project-leader as well as co-researcher for many government (Malaysia) and international (Saudi National Grant, Qatar Foundation, etc.) funded projects.
Prof. Lijian Zuo
Polymer Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University
Lijian Zuo got his Ph. D in Jun. 2014 from Polymer Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University. His Ph. D. thesis focuses on the device engineering of organic photovoltaics. After graduation, he subsequently carried out research as post-doc at Zhejiang University (2014-2015, supervisor: Hanying Li), UCLA (2015-2016, supervisor: Yang Yang), and University of Washington (2016-2020, supervisor: Alex K.-Y. Jen). In 2020, he joined Zhejiang University as distinguished researcher, and got the national fund for youg talent.
In the recent year, he focused on high-performance, low-cost organic and perovskite semiconductors and photovoltaic devices, and published over 90 peer-review papers, including Nature Nanotechnology, Science Advances, Nature Communications, Journal of the Ameircan Chemical Society, Advanced Materials, and Energy & Environmental Sciencce.
Dr. Guohua Xie
Department of Chemistry,Wuhan University
Dr. Guohua Xie obtained his Ph.D. degree from Jilin University (China) in 2011. From August 2011, Dr. Xie carried out his postdoctoral research at TU Dresden (Germany), sponsored by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, investigating the stability of OLEDs. From January 2013 to January 2015, Dr. Xie worked for an interdisciplinary project funded by Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC, UK) at the Organic Semiconductor Center of the University of St Andrews. Since January 2015, he has been serving as an associate professor at the College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences of Wuhan University (China) to carry out the interdisciplinary research of organic optoelectronic materials and devices. Dr. Xie has coauthored more than 190 peer-reviewed publications. In 2020, Dr. Xie has been admitted as a Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry.
Prof. Lei Zhang

My research experience includes the modelling of emerging solar cell materials, and understanding their energy conversion, storage and stabilization mechanisms at the molecular scale. Recently, I focus on the data-driven approaches for modifying halide perovskite materials and predicting new solar cell materials.
