Prof. Tang Jianguo, the Executive Director of the Institute, is a Professor of National Second Class, Academician of Engineering Academy of Ukraine, Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry, the Head of the Authorized Doctoral Program of Materials Science and Engineering, the Head of the First Class Master's Program of Materials Science and Engineering, the Head of the Key Discipline (Materials Science) of Shandong Province "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", the Head of Shandong Province "He is also the head of the key discipline (Materials Science) of the 12th Five-Year Plan of Shandong Province, and the head of the brand specialty of Polymer Materials and Engineering of Shandong Province. He is also the director of National International Joint Research Center of Hybrid Materials Technology, the director of Polymer Hybrid Materials Innovation and Intelligence Base of National Higher Education Institutions (111 Program), the director of National International Science and Technology Cooperation Base, the director of Qingdao University-Colorado State University Joint Research Center of Hybrid Materials Technology, the director of Qingdao Polymer Hybrid Materials Engineering Technology Center, and the director of Qingdao Polymer Hybrid Materials International Science and Technology Cooperation Demonstration Base. He was a JST researcher at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, Alberta Ingenuity Fellow at the University of Alberta, Canada, researcher at the National Center for Tri-five Group Semiconductors, UK, and researcher, PhD supervisor and group leader at Suzhou Institute of Nanotechnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has been selected for the National Key Talent Project, recipient of the Key Program for Entrepreneurship of Chinese Overseas Educated Persons, a double-creative talent of Jiangsu Province, six peak talents, 333 high-level talents, and an overseas high-level leader and science and technology leader of Suzhou Park, etc. He is a guest editorial board member of Nanomaterials, a youth editorial board member of China Laser, a reviewer of Nature Materials, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, etc. He is also a reviewer for Nature Materials, Nature Communications and Advanced Materials. His research interests include semiconductor optoelectronic materials and devices, photonic integrated devices, optical communication devices and systems, and molecular beam epitaxy growth of semiconductor materials, etc. He has published more than 100 articles in Advances in Optics and Photonics, Light: Science & Applications, Nano Letters, etc. as corresponding author. His work has been featured in Compoundsemiconductors, Laser Focus World, Semiconductor Today, etc. |

Prof. Junjie Qi, University of Science and Technology Beijing, China
Junjie Qi is the full Professor of University of Science & Technology Beijing, China. She received her Ph.D. degree from Department of Materials Science at University of Science & Technology Beijing in 2002. From Jan. 2003 to Dec. 2004, she had been with the Tsinghua University, where she was a Post-Doctoral researcher. She joined the Device Research Laboratory in Electrical Engineering Department at University of California, Los Angeles as a visiting scholar through Dec. 2013 to Dec. 2014. She is the author of more than 150 publications including “Nature Communications”, “Advanced Materials”. Her current research interests include semiconductor nanomaterials, electronic and opto-electronic properties and devices of low-dimensional materials.
Keynote Speaker
Prof. Yuda Zhao, Zhejiang University, China
Dr. Zhao Yuda is ZJU100 Young Professor and doctoral supervisor. In 2012, he received a bachelor's degree from the School of Physics, Nanjing University. In 2016, he received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Applied Physics, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and was shortlisted for the 2017 Hong Kong Young Scientist Award. Since 2016, he has engaged in post-doctoral research at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the University of Strasbourg (France). In 2018, he was awarded the individual fellowship under the EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. After he joined Zhejiang University, he has been selected for national and provincial talent projects. He is the principal investigator of several NSFC research projects. He has published more than 40 papers, among which over 20 papers have been published in Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Nano, and other journals as the first/corresponding author, and 3 papers are ESI highly cited papers. The research is highlighted by Nature Nanotechnology, Science China, and some press release websites. His main research area includes high-performance logic devices and More than-Moore devices based on low-dimensional materials.
Publication
All accepted papers of ISSET 2023 will be published in the conference proceedings, which will be submitted to EI Compendex, Scopus for indexing.
