Conference Background
The International Symposium on COastal Resources and Environment (CORE) is an academic conference initiated by Hohai University. Since 2017, CORE has been held twice in Nanjing in 2017 and 2018, respectively. With support from different international associations and projects, and with the participation of researchers worldwide, CORE has attracted wide attention and gradually become an important event. The 3rd International Symposium on Coastal Resources and Environment (CORE2021), themed on Coastal Biogeomorphology and Nature-Based Solutions, will be held in Nanjing during October 12-16, 2021. CORE2021 will be supported by the International Association of Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR), jointly hosted by Hohai University (China), University of Edinburgh (UK), Sun Yat-Sen University (China) and Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), and locally organized by the State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resource and Hydraulic Engineering, the Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Coast Ocean Resources Development and Environment Security, Overseas Expertise Introduction Center for Discipline Innovation on Coastal Resources Exploitation and Security, and College of Harbour, Coastal and Offshore Engineering (Hohai University).
